I Rebecca Allison of the Village of St. David’s, Niagara, Do hereby solemnly declare that I have actually sustained the Losses and Damages in the within accompanying Claim set forth from His Majesty’s Troops and Indians following the British Army, and that I have not received any remuneration whatever either from His Majesty’s Government, from the Individuals who committed the damage claimed for, or from any Person or Persons for them.

I Rebecca Allison of the Village of St. David’s, Niagara, Do hereby solemnly declare that the within in a true and correct statement of the Loss which I sustained, when plundered by a Party of the Enemy (Americans) Commanded by General Brown in the year 1814. And I do further in like manner declare that I have not received any remuneration whatever on account of the loss so sustained.

We David Secord Esq. and Richard Woodruff, Merchant, both of the Village of St. David’s, Niagara, Do hereby Certify that we have carefully examined the within Claim made by Rebecca Allison of the said place for Damages sustained by His Majesty’s Troops and Indians following the Army amounting to Eighty seven pounds ten shilling Halifax Currency, as also for damages sustained by a party of American enemy and their Indians Commanded by General Brown as in the said Claim set forth, and We do further Certify from our own knowledge that the said Rebecca Allison has actually suffered the damages for which she Claims to be Remunerated; and that in our estimation the several sums of Eight seven pounds 10/- and the sum of Seven Pounds Halifax Currency is a just and reasonable compensation for the same, and also the several Items therein put down are not overcharged.

Personally appeared before me Alexander Hamilton one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for said District, Rebecca Crysler who being duly sworn deposeth and sayeth that the within property was taken away and destroyed as within described and that the value of said property the deponent declares to amount to ninety four pounds ten shillings Halifax Currency and further that for no part of which has she ever received any remuneration for Rebecca Chrysler (her mark)
