Hannah Secord, widow of the Late Stephen Secord of St. David’s, maketh oath and saith, that the annexed account is a just and true statement of losses sustained by her during the late war with the United States of America, amounting to seven hundred and ninety two pounds five shillings Canada Currency, and that she has not received compensation for the same nor for any part thereof either directly or indirectly

Sir,

I [illegible] you the Widow Secord of St. David’s, claim for losses sustained during the late War, sworn to, with Certificate. She was a great sufferer having lost a good house etc etc.

She desires me to say that Colonel Foster  having been some short time at her home and having slept in it, will recollect the premises which were Burned to the ground
