Personally appeared before me John Warren one of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for this District Abigail Anger of Bertie in said District, widdow woman, who being duly sworn deposeth and saith that her team consisting of two lorry waggons and harness was last [illegible] employed in his Majesty’s Service, that on the 6th day of June last when said team was engaged in conveying Baggage and some soldiers [wives?] of the 41st Regiment to Burlington it was seized and taken away by a party of the American Troops, and that she has never received any compensation for it
