I Margaret Darby of the Township of Grantham do Hereby solemnly Declare that the above is a true and Correct Statement of the Losses which I sustained When Plundered by a party of the Enemy Commanded By General McClure the Eighteenth Decr 1814 and I do further in like manner declare that I have not received any remuneration whatever on account of the loss so sustained
We George Read of the Township Grantham and James [Conover?] of the same place do hereby Certify that we have Carefully examined the accompanying Clame Made by Margaret Darby of the Township of Grantham for Damage sustained by the Enemy Under the Command of General McClure as in the Same Clame set forth, and we do further Certify from our knowledge that the said Margaret Darby has actualy suffered the Damage for which she Claims to be Remunerated and that in our estimation the Sum of Twenty five Pounds fifteen shillings Hlx is just And Reasonable Compensation for the same and Also that the several sums therein put down are not over charged

James Cownover has declared on Oath that he knew the horse mentioned above and saw it in the Hands of the Enemy, and John Darby a Son to the Claimant swore he saw the Horse taken away.

I Margaret Darby of the Township of Grantham do hereby solemnly declare that I have actually sustained the Damage as above stated and that I have not received any Remuneration whatever for the same Either from his Majesty’s Government or from the Individuals who Committed the Damage Claimed or from any other person or persons for them,
